We prove that if the probabilities of insertion and deletion during replication are equal, microsatellite expansions are always self-reparation. If these probabilities are different, self-reparation fails. The effect mosaicism, anticipation and reverse mutations are discussed in the framework of the model. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Refreshments are served at 4:00 pm.
