Transcriptional Control of Heart Failure

Heart Failure is a one of the leading causes of death in the Western World. Approximately one half of patients diagnosed with heart failure die within five years. There are a series of changes in gene expression that accompany the developement of heart failure. These changes are coordinated through a series complex signaling pathways. Compuatonal models can help understand this complexity. To this end, we have initiated the development of a computational model of the signaling pathways involved in heart failure.
