Course Description:

The recent advances in biological research provide potential opportunities in bioinformatics and computational biology. This speaker series exposes the graduate students to a variety of projects and opportunities, and will provide alternative ways of looking at biological data and problems.

Grading Policy:

Students will write a summary (one typed page, single spaced) on two of the colloquium talks using appropriate citations when needed. Students are expected to ask question during the colloqium and class participation. Students should also sign the attendance sheet each class to indicate attendance.

Academic Honesty Policy : Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. This includes cheating, plagiarism, and falsification of academic records. That being said, you can discuss the homework with each other (this does not mean that you can copy each other's homework).
